Motorbase Performance: Porsche Carrera Cup GB team
Accelerate PR were proud to handle all team PR for Motorbase Performance’s Porsche Carrera Cup GB team during the 2010 season. As the only team in the history of the sport to run both a BTCC and a six-car Porsche Carrera Cup racing team, they certainly needed a hand! With former works TVR legend Michael Caine in the mix, the team fought for the championship since day one and we were on hand to provide race reports, acquire coverage in specialist Porsche titles and conduct and place driver interviews. We’ve been in regular contact with various journalists, magazines, e-zines, websites and newspapers, generating exposure and consistent coverage for the drivers and team and were on hand at each race, providing photos, liaising with relevant media contacts and putting together a comprehensive log of behind-the-scenes footage and photography for future PR activity. We also provided comprehensive media back-up, and documentation of races/events to meet various client needs at short notice.
We’ve also been involved with Motorbase Performance’s social media campaigns, providing copy, video and pictorial updates for their Facebook and Twitter accounts. |

Fox Exhausts
Respected German manufacturer Fox Exhausts has spent over a decade supplying the biggest names and most respected tuners across Germany with stainless steel OEM and performance exhaust systems. At the start of 2010, this ultra successful business-to-business operation took on a whole new arena, selling, for the first time in its history, high quality stainless steel exhausts systems directly to the public. With immediate success the Fox Exhaust brand has gone from strength to strength, so we were absolutely delighted the firm chose Accelerate PR to handle its UK launch and subsequent media strategy. We started by writing and distributing bespoke press releases to all the biggest players within the industry. Through our contact book we managed to procure a huge amount of coverage in our first three months. With the brand appearing everywhere across the entire UK automotive scene we worked on establishing links and relationships that would allow Fox Exhausts to take part in various technical and fitting guides. With awareness and the ‘buzz’ for the brand increasing, dealers, tuners and specialists from across the UK clammered to be the first to sell Fox’s products; Accelerate PR were very proud to be a part of this grand operation. Accelerate PR, keen to build on the interest generated, needed two suitable project cars which were selected from two popular magazines. Fox Exhausts now sponsor Performance BMW’s drift project Three Series and a luxury V.I.P. styled Japanese motor belonging to the editor of a leading UK magazine (images in the gallery as soon as we’re allowed to show them!). On top of this we have also worked alongside three titles, including the UK’s leading modification magazines, to provide Fox Exhausts with full page competitions as well as having their logos placed on staff cars. We’ve also acquired a number of free advertisements and have opened up lines of communication, which can only strengthen the brand. In addition we provide Fox Exhausts with a full time UK media contact to handle all press and editorial enquiries. |

Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Team Airwaves BMW
Accelerate PR are proud to be associated with the most important and successful racing series in the UK (Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship) and were selected by Motorbase Performance to handle all public relations for the duration of the 2010 season. As such, Accelerate PR distributed all qualifying, pre- and post-race reports, compiled driver interviews and provided copy, video and promotional material for affiliated sponsors’ events. We also secured interviews for the team’s grid girls, the ‘Leyland Lovelies’, and supported all three of our drivers’ (Mat Jackson, Steven Kane and Ben Collins) respective websites. Our race reports and driver interviews have been seen across the board, from specialist BMW magazines through to encompassing a wide range of automotive publications. Our words and reports have appeared in national and regional newspapers, on regional television and radio and across a huge number of on-line news and BTCC related websites. In addition we have secured permanent placement for the team on specialist title ‘Performance BMW’ magazine’s website, arranged a seven-page feature profiling both Airwaves BMW touring cars, all on top of a year-long regular three-page feature over twelve issues (36 pages of coverage) for Motorbase Performance’s road going BTCC replica build.
Accelerate PR also handled all media enquiries, providing full support to the numerous media requests received daily. |

Oxigin
We’re delighted to represent luxury German alloy wheel manufacturer Oxigin Wheels, who chose Accelerate PR to help re-launch its brand here in the UK. As such we’ve been on hand, creating and distributing press releases and product information to a huge number of automotive publications; the response has been unprecedented. In only our first four months we’ve managed to acquire news coverage in virtually every major automotive publication; from specialist titles (Auto Italia, Total 911, MG Enthusiast) to the biggest selling magazines and newspapers in the UK (Redline, Fast Ford, Performance VW). We’ve also managed to sponsor the project cars of Ultra VW and Total Nissan Magazines, providing each with a set of 19” Oxigin Wheels in exchange for a fantastic amount of coverage. These cars will be appearing at all the major UK car shows and various modification events across Europe, gaining exposure for the brand and the magazines alike. We have already attracted a huge amount of attention from the industry, which has helped Oxigin Wheels secure a trusted and respected dealer network off the back of our targeted media campaign.

Dodo Juice
Dodo Juice is one of the funkiest, most desirable and well-marketed brands on the UK automotive scene. After only three years the firm has picked up a host of awards for the quality of its products, its website and its innovative approach to car cleaning and detailing products. With demand constantly rising, Dodo Juice approached Accelerate PR, seeking help and direction, and also seeking to free up time for its exhausted directors to continue growing the brand. We are over the moon that Accelerate PR has been selected to help launch new products, increase awareness, establish new media links and find partnership opportunities in-line with the highly calculated image the firm have worked so hard to achieve. With quick wins a stated goal, we immediately found four magazines that shared a similar and stylish ethos, as we understand that it’s not just being seen, but where you’re seen that counts. We secured sponsorship in Performance VW magazine’s letters page, as well as the three magazines produced by Total (Total Impreza, Total Nissan and Total Evolution). We have also placed full-page competitions for the company in leading motoring and hand-picked lifestyle publications. In addition we help and assist the media with information and products associated with how-to guides or detailing features, working as Dodo Juice’s full time media contact and representative. |

Carmani
After managing a number of successful UK launches, German manufacturer Carmani wheels were next to take advantage of Accelerate PR’s services. This brand new company needed to establish a presence and create an affordable campaign that would get them noticed, quickly and effectively.With time of the essence we created and distributed a selection of one-off releases, which immediately found homes in many of the largest selling UK motoring publications. In comparison to direct advertising, we helped Carmani achieve at least ten times the amount of column inches compared to paid advertisements. We have also looked at suitable sponsorship opportunities and have already agreed terms to place a set of wheels on an editor’s 4×4 vehicle. We have also managed to secure a two-page competition on the UK’s largest modification motoring e-zine Tarmag. We have arranged a behind-the-scenes tour of the company and all associated photography and copy. This has been provided free of charge to motoring magazines, e-zines, newspapers and websites in order to publicise the brand. |
